STAR-CCM+ has been developed to provide the most complete solution possible to engineering analysis problems, part of this is to ensure that it seamlessly fits into to the product development processes.
A flexible choice of simulation solution.
As well as a range of in-built physics models, STAR-CCM+ allows communication with other third party CAE tools to extend application coverage. The passing of flow, thermal and stress fields to other software is fully flexible and allows for increasing levels of model and physics sophistication.
Co-simulation.
STAR-CCM+ has a range of options to enable simultaneous two way coupling between different software solutions. To setup and run co-simulation all you need is STAR-CCM+ and your choice of another CAE tool. Co-simulation is supported for: reciprocating engine gas dynamics, flow assurance modeling and fluid structure interaction (FSI).
Import and mapping.
STAR-CCM+ also includes a range of solutions for the import, mapping and export of results from and to third CAE party tools. The state of the art mapping technology may also be easily automated using java to provide loose coupling with other codes.
The training was detail oriented, and walked through all the steps in completing a realistic project.
